Belive&More Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Belive&More on Rua do Almirante Sergio, I wasn’t expecting much from a 2-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best surprises come in unassuming packages. This little hotel sits right in the heart of Macau’s older district, and I mean that in the best possible way. You’re literally a few minutes’ walk from the Senate Square area, but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the constant tourist chaos that comes with staying right on the main strips.
The thing that struck me most was how much effort they’ve put into making the place feel… well, more than what you’d expect. The lobby’s got this sort of modern-meets-traditional vibe going on – nothing fancy, but clean lines and some thoughtful touches that show someone actually cares about the guest experience. My room was smaller than what you’d get at the big casino hotels (obviously), but it was spotlessly clean and had everything I actually needed. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and honestly, after walking around Macau’s cobblestone streets all day, that mattress felt like heaven. The bathroom was compact but functional – good water pressure, which is always a win in my book.
What really won me over was the staff. They’re genuinely helpful without being pushy, and a couple of them speak excellent English alongside Cantonese and Mandarin. When I mentioned I was looking for good dim sum that wasn’t touristy, the front desk guy actually drew me a little map to this hole-in-the-wall place about ten minutes away – turned out to be one of the best meals of my trip. You’re also perfectly positioned to explore the real Macau here. The famous Ruins of St. Paul’s are an easy walk, but you can also wander into the local neighborhoods where people actually live and work. I found myself grabbing morning coffee from the little café around the corner instead of the hotel lobby, just soaking up the daily rhythm of the area.
The only real downside? Well, it’s not dead quiet – you’ll hear some street noise, especially in the mornings when the local shops are getting their deliveries. But it’s not obnoxious, more like the gentle hum of a city waking up. And if you’re expecting a pool or fancy gym, you’re in the wrong place. But for the price point and location, I actually found myself preferring this to the massive resort hotels. There’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels connected to the actual place you’re visiting, rather than some hermetically sealed tourist bubble. Plus, with an 8.5 rating, I’m clearly not the only one who thinks they’re doing something right here.

What could be improved: The only thing was that the housecleaning was loud right outside my room around 9am everyday. But other than that everything was greatYasmin from New Zealand – 20 March 2025 (9/10)
Very nice hotel room for what you pay- spacious and had a sofa, free snacks/bottle of water, tv with YouTube and table to eat at. USB charging port so didn’t even need my Hong Kong adapter, hotel also had an area downstairs with pool table. Good location for buses and restaurants, free luggage storage after checkout. Staff were very kind and accommodating. Best part of being in Macau, if I came again it would be for the hotel!

Clean and Central Location walking distance to some attraction. Great customer service from the front desk which helps to book taxi when we are heading to Taipa Ferry Terminal.
What could be improved: Room is slightly smaller than expected. Shower area is small.Hwee from Malaysia – 27 December 2024 (9/10)
Super near bus stop, so it is very convenient to take bus and go around Macau. Walking distance to popular places like Senado Square, Ruins of St Paul etc
What could be improved: It is a boutique hotel, so the room is rather narrow (smaller than the one I stayed in Hong Kong during the same trip).
