YOHO Treasure Island Hotel Overview
First Impressions
Walking into YOHO Treasure Island Hotel, you immediately sense you’re somewhere special. This five-star property sits right on Nam Van Lake in the heart of Macau Peninsula, and honestly, the location alone is worth the stay. The lobby has this sophisticated yet welcoming vibe — not stuffy like some luxury hotels can be, but definitely polished. You know what struck me most? The way the staff genuinely seemed happy to see guests, not just going through the motions.
The Location Magic
Here’s the thing about this spot — couples absolutely love it, and I can see why they rate it so highly for romantic getaways. You’re literally steps from Nam Van Lake, which means those evening strolls are pretty spectacular. The peninsula location puts you right in the thick of things without feeling overwhelmed by crowds. I mean, you can walk to most of the major attractions, and the taxi rides to the casino areas are quick and cheap. Plus, there’s parking available at the hotel, which honestly saves you a headache if you’re planning to explore beyond the immediate area.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was genuinely impressive — spacious, well-designed, and with views that actually matter. The beds are the kind you sink into after a long day of exploring, and the bathroom amenities feel properly luxurious without being pretentious. What I appreciated most was the attention to detail — good lighting for getting ready, plenty of outlets where you need them, and blackout curtains that actually work. The housekeeping team keeps everything spotless, and they’re surprisingly unobtrusive about it.
Dining and Amenities
The breakfast buffet is where this place really shines. I’m usually skeptical of hotel breakfast spreads, but this one covers all the bases — proper coffee, fresh pastries, local specialties, and international options that don’t feel like afterthoughts. The restaurant staff keeps everything well-stocked even during busy periods, which shows they actually care about the experience. Beyond breakfast, the hotel’s amenities feel thoughtfully curated rather than just checking boxes. The service throughout the property maintains that same consistent quality you’d expect from a luxury establishment.
Why Guests Love It
Recent guests consistently rate this place highly, and after staying here, I get it. It’s that sweet spot where luxury meets genuine hospitality — you feel pampered without feeling like you’re being sold to constantly. The location scores speak for themselves, especially for couples looking for something special. Whether you’re here for the casinos, the culture, or just want a sophisticated base for exploring Macau, this hotel delivers on the promise. The combination of prime positioning, solid amenities, and staff who actually seem to enjoy their jobs makes it the kind of place you’d recommend to friends without hesitation.
The luxury concierge service in Macau secures VIP theater boxes, sunrise yacht charters, and backstage access to heritage estates.

Great location and all the amenities needed for a family of 4. Newish hotel and more shops should be opening within the hotel grounds. Staff were very helpful esp the Filipinos as the other staffs were not very well versed in English.
