The lobby has this sleek, modern vibe that manages to feel both upscale and welcoming, which isn’t always easy to pull off in a city where luxury can sometimes feel a bit over the top.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s what I really appreciate about this spot: you’re on Avenida dos Jogos da Ásia Oriental, which sounds fancy but basically means you’re well-positioned for exploring both sides of Macau. Taipa has become the heart of the newer resort developments, so you’re actually in the thick of things without the overwhelming crowds of the peninsula. The hotel provides private parking, which — trust me — is a huge deal in Macau where finding a spot can be a nightmare. Couples seem to particularly love this area, and I can see why; it’s got that romantic, slightly removed feel while still being accessible.

The Rooms

The accommodations live up to the five-star billing without being ostentatious about it. My room had floor-to-ceiling windows that offered great views of the surrounding area, and the design strikes this nice balance between contemporary luxury and comfort. You know what impressed me most? The attention to small details — quality linens, proper lighting for reading, and a bathroom that actually has counter space (you’d be surprised how many luxury hotels miss this). The rooms feel spacious, which is refreshing in a city where space comes at a premium.

Dining & Amenities

The breakfast buffet deserves a mention — it’s one of those spreads that manages to cater to both international tastes and local preferences without feeling scattered. I mean, you can get your standard Western breakfast, but there are also congee options and local pastries that actually taste authentic. The variety is impressive, and the quality is consistently good, which matters when you’re staying multiple nights. The dining areas have natural light, which makes morning meals feel less like you’re in a casino bubble.

  This is our favourite place to stay when in Macau. The hotel is beautifully designed… down to the air vent panels and coffee cups in the room. It is a little isolated and, therefore, is not over-run by tourists. Our room has a beautiful, open view of Hengqin (China) across the river. The jogging/cycling path along the river is not far from the hotel.
  
  The in-room facilities rivals any top-tier hotel. There is a one-time setup of drinks in the fridge and bath salts in a beautiful, functional bathroom with separate shower stall & toilet.
  
  There is an excellent Chinese restaurant and a good coffee shop (we have not tried the sushi place) as well as a convenience store in the hotel. The staff are generally friendly and accommodating. I cannot comment on the huge pool deck as we did not use it but it look’s busy on weekends.
