The Londoner Macao Overview
Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from The Londoner Macao when I first pulled up to the Cotai Strip – I mean, another themed resort in a sea of over-the-top casinos? But walking through those doors, you immediately get hit with this whole Victorian London vibe that’s actually pretty impressive. They’ve gone all-in on the British theme without making it feel like a cheesy tourist trap, which is harder to pull off than you’d think. The lobby has this grand staircase situation that reminds me of old London department stores, and the staff genuinely seems to know what they’re doing (always a good sign in Macao where service can be hit or miss).
What really sets this place apart is the attention to detail – and I’m someone who usually rolls their eyes at themed hotels. The rooms have these gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows that look out over the Cotai Strip, and honestly, the view at night is pretty spectacular. You can see the whole choreographed chaos of the area without being right in the thick of it, which is perfect if you want to experience Macao but also actually get some sleep. The beds are seriously comfortable too – I’m talking sink-into-it-and-forget-your-problems comfortable. What surprised me most was how quiet it stays despite being right in the heart of everything. You know how some of these big resorts feel like you’re sleeping inside a casino? Not here.
The dining situation is where they really shine, though. Sure, you’ve got your typical high-end options, but there’s also this great pub-style restaurant that serves proper fish and chips alongside dim sum – sounds weird, works perfectly. The breakfast buffet is massive (probably too big, honestly) but the quality is there, and they’ve got both Western and Asian options that don’t feel like afterthoughts. Getting around is easy since you’re connected to the main Cotai Strip action via covered walkways, so you can hop between casinos and shopping without dealing with Macao’s unpredictable weather. The whole area gets pretty busy during Chinese holidays and weekends, but mid-week it’s much more manageable. Parking is straightforward if you’re driving, and the taxi situation is way better than some other spots along the strip where you’ll wait forever. Look, it’s not cheap – this is Macao after all – but for what you get, especially with that 9.7 rating reflecting real guest experiences, it’s actually solid value for a proper luxury stay in one of the most entertaining cities in Asia.

The staff was absolutely astonishing! They are so polite and pleasant. From door staff to check in staff to the very well dressed lift lobby personnel, they really aim to provide a good service. Our housekeeping lady was professional and gave us an accurate time as to when we can return to our rooms to refresh ourselves.
Casino staff, of course, are very happy to greet us!Ms from Singapore (10/10)

Service was great from moment of stepping foot in Macau, got picked up with car and whisked to room. Celebrated my birthday there, delicious mango cake sent to room. And food quality was excellent at tea break, cocktails and breakfast.

The opulence of the whole place was stunning. Your wonderful staff at Guest Services and at the Residence restaurant were all so sincere and helpful. They have to tolerate the rudeness of some of the Chinese guests from Mainland China who were unappreciative and rough on them.
Housekeeping staff were also very helpful and efficient. They served from the heart with a genuine smile. Well done!Alfred from Hong Kong (10/10)
A working example of a best service oriented hotel in the Region with the best service and management team I have ever experienced in the past 30 years.
