You know what struck me first about the Crowne Plaza Macau? It’s actually positioned perfectly on Avenida Da Ponte Da Amizade – which sounds fancy but basically means you’re right by the Friendship Bridge connecting Taipa and the mainland. I mean, most people obsess over staying on the Cotai Strip, but honestly, this spot gives you the best of both worlds without the constant casino chaos right outside your window.

The thing about this place is it feels like they actually thought about what business travelers and families need, not just what looks good in photos. The rooms are genuinely spacious – and I’m not talking about those tiny “deluxe” rooms you get tricked into elsewhere in Macau. The beds are proper comfortable, which matters when you’re dealing with jet lag or long days exploring. What really got me though was how quiet it stays despite being so well-connected. You can actually sleep here, unlike some of the glitzier properties where there’s constant noise from gaming floors and street traffic. The staff genuinely knows their stuff too – they’ll tell you which ferry times to avoid (trust me, don’t try to get to Hong Kong around 6 PM on weekdays) and where to grab decent dim sum that won’t cost you a fortune.

Location-wise, you’re maybe a 10-minute taxi ride to Senado Square and all the heritage sites, but you can also walk to some of Taipa’s better local restaurants – the ones where you’ll actually see Macanese families eating, not just tourists. The hotel runs a decent shuttle service, though honestly, taxis are so cheap in Macau it’s barely worth planning around. Parking’s included if you’re driving from mainland China, which is a nice touch since most places charge extra for that. The pool area is actually usable too – gets good afternoon sun and doesn’t feel like you’re swimming in a fishbowl with everyone staring. I’d say the only minor thing is that the breakfast buffet, while perfectly fine, isn’t anything special – but then again, you’re in Macau, so why not venture out for congee and fresh pastries anyway? With an 8.8 rating, they’re clearly doing something right, and after staying here, I get it. It’s that rare hotel that manages to feel both polished and practical without trying too hard to impress you.

  Hotel staff from frontdesk, concierge, and housekeeping were attentive and patient to the needs of guests. Room was comfortable and conducive for good rest after a long day. Buffet style breakfast was comprehensive with good mix of Western and Asian selections. Location was generally ok with short taxi ride to most tourist sites and Cotai areas.

  The afternoon tea was tasty and the Happy Hour was a very good deal. Staff were attentive and always happy to help. The food at the restaurant was great.
  The room was beautiful with a nice sea view.
  The hotel is a long walk from the pier, but it is a peaceful and scenic walk. It was nice to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the busy towns and casinos.
  We went to the pool too and the water was a nice temperature.

  Location is 15min walk from Border Gate (flat path). Room is well-lit, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and polite. Many food options in the vicinity. Close to bus terminal to get to attractions spots (but the bus back will be super packed)
