Check-in was surprisingly smooth, even with my broken Mandarin, and the staff seemed genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions. The rooms are compact but thoughtfully designed, with decent soundproofing which matters a lot since Gongbeiqiaoguang Road can get pretty busy. I stayed on the 8th floor and barely heard the street noise, though you’ll definitely catch the occasional train rumble from the high-speed station nearby – honestly, I found it kind of soothing after a while.

What really won me over were the little details that show someone actually thought about what travelers need. The bathroom has a proper shower with good water pressure (not always a given in this price range), and there’s enough plug outlets that you don’t have to choose between charging your phone and using the kettle. The bed was firm in that good Chinese hotel way, and the AC actually worked without sounding like a jet engine. Breakfast was decent – nothing fancy, but they had congee, some Western options, and coffee that didn’t taste like it came from a vending machine. The area around the hotel has tons of food options too, from hole-in-the-wall Cantonese places to bubble tea shops that stay open late. There’s a 7-Eleven right around the corner, which became my best friend for late-night snacks and morning coffee runs.

Here’s the thing – this isn’t a destination hotel where you’ll want to hang out by the pool all day (there isn’t one anyway). But if you need a solid base for exploring Zhuhai or hopping over to Macau, it hits that sweet spot of being clean, comfortable, and well-located without breaking the bank. The 8.6 rating makes total sense once you stay there – it’s not trying to be something it’s not, but what it does, it does well. Just don’t expect a concierge who speaks perfect English or room service after 10 PM, and you’ll be more than happy with the choice.

  it have free to use their washing machine and tumble dryer, if you did leave note attached to the washing machine, they will return back to your room next morning
  I stay in a family room which it have mini slide and rocking horse for kids, also duvet cover and bed sheets were for children themes
